Your budget for your new home business is so small that you are trying to cut every cost you can. In today’s technology filled world, you’re sure you can do without business cards. Then, you mention your business to someone and that person says, “Sounds interesting. Can I have your card?” After you scrounge up a piece of your last gas station receipt and scribble your contact information on it, you watch someone who could have been a potential customer walk away with your very unprofessionally presented contact information in his pocket. Obviously, business cards are not even nearing extinction and you need to check out Vistaprint’s free business cards before you miss another opportunity to make a good impression on a potential customer.
If you are hesitant to buy business cards because you aren’t sure the business will succeed, consider making cards that are a bit generic and could be used in a variety of situations. For example, you can design cards that dont have a business name on them and have a very neutral background, such as several blocks of colour or an image of the sky. This way, you could still use them for a different venture if the current business doesn’t take off the way you were expecting it to.

Are there any tips for making custom business cards for daycares and preschools?
You’ve decided you want to mold young minds and help the under five age group develop skills that will help them succeed in school. As you start your daycare or preschool business, you decide you needed a cheap and effective way to let people know about the new childcare operation. You are going to use Vistaprint to create custom business cards. Now, you aren’t quite sure how to proceed. Didn’t you hear that business cards should be simple and elegant? Actually, a daycare or preschool is one business that usually doesn’t want a sophisticated card. To make business cards for your child care business, you should:
- Look for a design template that is colorful and fun. VistaPrint has quite a few designs that are perfect for a child care, including cards with colorful sunflower images or graphics that look like a child’s crayon drawings.
- Keep the card uncluttered. Putting only the essential information on the front of the card makes it easy for prospective clients to read and makes you look like the professional you are.
- Use the back of the card for information that is important, but doesn’t belong on the front. For example, if you want to pitch your child care’s terrific school readiness program, you can do so here.
