When designing your business cards, fonts are an important thing to keep in mind. A font is the particular character set or typeface that you use on your card. On a small surface such as a business card, you want all type to be easy to read, especially upon a quick glance.
Consider serifs and sans-serif fronts. Serif fonts have structural details, like feet, on the ends of every line. They tend to be more traditional. Sans-serifs, meaning “without serifs,” do not have these details, and tend to be simpler. Also, try to stay away from a lot of script or elaborate, hard to read lettering.
Choose a font that complements your business. If you own a gym, you may want a thick font with more weight. If you are a wedding planner, use a font that is more feminine and elegant.
The color of type is also something important to consider. Not all colors work well with all fonts.

Are custom sticky notes good for anything that isn’t business related?
Custom printed sticky notes are a great giveaway to promote a business, since few people turn down a pack of these handy little notepads. However, there are so many other things you can do with the versatile little sticky note. Why not think outside the box and consider sticky notes with some of these custom messages:
- I love you. With this printed message, the busy executive can be romantic, caring, or sensitive, while only using seconds of valuable time. Leave instant love notes on your sleeping spouse’s pillow when you need to dash off to work or as a surprise tucked into a lunch bag.
- Clean this, please. Nag at high speed with sticky notes that have this message. Slap the notes on the fridge, the microwave door or the bathroom mirror as you dash around getting ready for work in the morning. When your teens stagger out of bed at noon, there will be chore reminders they can’t possibly overlook on the items that need to be cleaned.
- Trash, keep, or donate. These notes can help you organise even the most overwhelmingly cluttered room. Simply slap a note on that hideous throw pillow, circle the word donate: and move on to the next item. Your helpers can grab the item and toss it in the appropriate pile.

Business Cards Designs
You should certainly try to avoid printing your own business cards. Flimsy or poorly made cards will send the wrong message about your company and people will not take you seriously. If you can’t design business cards with quality, no one will want to do business with you.
Besides, it usually ends up being cheaper to have your business cards professionally made. If you make business cards online, you’ll save money. You would probably pay more for cardstock, ink, and toner if you printed the cards yourself.
Hand your clients a high-quality, professional business card. It will be the beginning of a successful business relationship.

Business Cards
Does my business card need a tagline?
As you admire your new business design card one last time before you initial Vistaprint’s online proof, take the time to ask yourself one very important question. If you were a stranger viewing these business cards, would you know what your business was about? Often, the surprising answer is a resounding “No,” because business owners tend to try to create catchy memorable names for their companies, which don’t always give potential customers a concrete idea of what the business actually is.
If your business has a memorable name that doesn’t definitely tell people what services or goods you offer, now is the time to make a simple change that will let them know. You don’t even have to file paperwork for a new doing business as company name for this modification. Just create a tagline to go below the business name on the card that states exactly what you do. If you own Jane Doe’s Happy Tails, the tagline should state that it is a dog grooming service, a pet sitting service, or a company that sells artificial tails. If you are running John Doe’s A Cut Above, use a tagline to let people know whether you specialise in manicured lawns or perfectly groomed hair. Your business cards MUST characterise your company.
